Moving work often involves heavy lifting, tight spaces, transportation, stressful situations, and work in properties with varying conditions. That is why we work systematically with occupational health and safety and have procedures that reduce risks for both staff and the customer’s environment.

Our goal is to:

Safe planning and risk assessment before moving

A safe move starts before we lift the first box. We plan staffing, carrying routes and schedules to avoid unnecessary risks. If necessary, we carry out a risk assessment linked to, for example, stairwells, elevators, level differences, slip hazards, heavy goods, narrow passages and loading zones.

Work management and clear roles in place

We strive to have clear management of assignments, especially for larger moves. This creates order, reduces stress and allows deviations to be handled quickly.

Ergonomics and safe lifting when moving

Overuse injuries are one of the most common risks in the industry. That’s why we have routines to work more ergonomically, use the right technology, and adapt work steps to the conditions.

Assistive devices and working methods that reduce strain

We use and prioritize assistive devices whenever possible, such as slings, stretchers, roll plates, and protective materials. We also plan lifts so that heavy and bulky goods are handled by more people and with the right equipment.

Personal protective equipment and safe working methods

We use protective equipment when the work requires it and ensure that it is adapted to the assignment. This may include work gloves, safety shoes and high-visibility clothing when working near traffic or loading zones.

Road safety and safe loading during transport

The transport phase is a central part of the moving process. We work to reduce risks during loading, unloading and driving through routines for securing goods, checking load paths and a driving style that prioritizes safety.

Order, tidiness and reduced tripping risk

We strive to keep walkways clear, work with clear placement of goods and avoid unnecessary running. Tidying up the work area reduces the risk of falls, crushing injuries and damage to the customer’s property.

Incident reporting and continuous improvements

All employees should be able to report risks and incidents without hindrance. We follow up on incidents and use them as a basis for improved routines, training and planning. Work environment work is a continuous process where we continuously review working methods, equipment and routines.

Alcohol, drugs and work capacity

Quality Move does not accept the presence of alcohol or drugs at work. Everyone must be fit to work and able to carry out assignments in a safe and responsible manner.
